Originally from North Carolina, I've been playing guitar for 27 years. I've been teaching guitar for 20 years, 17 years in NC and 3 years in FL. Starting at the age of 13, I picked up the guitar and never really put it down.
After many years of lessons and various schooling, I started my teaching career at the early age of 20. In the early days, I spent most of my time teaching 40+ students a week and doing studio work on the side when the opportunity presented itself.
I later took time off from teaching and recording so I could focus on the next level of my profession which took me all over the Southeast with Florida based band "Gunfighter". Also having the opportunity of opening for various national acts including; Pantera, Robin Trower, Jeff Healey,etc.
After touring for a number of years, I relocated back to North Carolina and started teaching & recording again... and have been doing so ever since.
